Network Lag

Today I have been experiencing some super lag with my internet. I tried downloading some files from my own websites and I was downloading at a mere 50kb/s when normally I would download at over 800-1000kb/s coming close to 1mb/s.
This kind of a lag really does slow me down because downloads aren’t the one that is affected. It takes a while to load most websites as well. Hopefully Time Warner decides to get to work and fixes this lag as soon as possible.
